Majestic Creek Country Club
Majestic Creek Country Club is a 27-hole course that is known to be one of the most challenging courses in the Hua Hin area. Designed by Dr. Sukkitti Klangvisai who is also responsible for Phuket's famous Loch Palm Golf Club, the course is, according to many, the best laid out golf course in Hua Hin.
The course is set in the foothills only 20 kilometers (13 miles) to the west of Hua Hin. The road through lush forests and farm area is interesting in and of itself.
As many mountain courses in the area, the best possible use was made of the natural surface water, lakes and streams that were preserved as natural hazards that can be difficult to negotiate. In fact, most holes involve water hazards to some extent.
The course is rather long at 7123 yards from the longest tees, made more challenging by the above mentioned hazards and smart bunkering. A low score in Majestic Creek requires a precise and concentrated game and calm nerves.
A notable hole is the 588-yard par five, the last on Course B, requiring utmost precision and two major water hazards before mastering the sloping green.
Course C's signature par-3 5th hole sports a waterfall, a rarity anywhere.
The club house was recently renovated and offers a full range of services, including club and equipment rental, well-stocked pro-shop and a golfer's cafe.
Other facilities include two putting greens, a chipping area and a grass driving range. Unlike carts, caddies are mandatory. The golf carts can be shared without restriction.
